Laurence Ormerod (Board member, Non-Executive Chairman) Laurence had 30 years experience in the oil and gas industry. He began his career as a field engineer working for Schlumberger and was managing director of EPS Ltd from 1992 to 2004, where he led the company through a period of considerable growth, resulting in its eventual purchase by Weatherford in 2004. Laurence is currently Managing Director of his own consultancy company, Ormerod Consulting.
Max Rowe (Board member, Non-Executive Director) Max has more than 20 years experience in the oil and gas industry and worked for a major Operator in a variety of roles, including technology and commercial management, strategic planning, acquisitions and economics. He is Chairman of the oil and gas Industry Technology Facilitator (ITF) and holds an Honorary Chair in the College of Physical Sciences at Aberdeen University. Max is currently Managing Director of his own consultancy company, Selkie Solutions Ltd.
Emma Perfect (Board member, Managing Director and Chief Scientific Officer) Emma graduated from the University of Oxford with a first class honours degree in Biological Sciences. She has since completed a DPhil in Plant Disease. Emma joined LUX in 2003 and manages a team of highly skilled scientists and she heads up LUX research programmes. During her time with LUX Emma has developed a comprehensive intellectual property strategy to feed into the LUX business model of building the technology portfolio. Emma has extensive experience in assessing new technology opportunities and has been instrumental in bringing new technology into LUX building up the company's core skills. Jenny Young (Chief Operating Officer) Jenny has worked in the Life Sciences and Pharmaceutical sectors since 2000. She joined the company from Advocates Ltd., a pharmaceutical consultancy, where her role involved project management, regulatory and technical consultancy in the area of pharmaceutical manufacturing. She previously gained skills in sales and business development when she helped found the technology company Nyrion Ltd. Prior to this Jenny worked as a Project Manager at ExpressOn BioSystems Ltd, a small biotechnology company. Jenny holds a first class honours degree awarded by the University of Oxford. |
